The Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join their team in the cleaning supplies industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, lead generation, and customer service, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
What you’ll be doing…
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the cleaning/janitorial supplies market.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company growth targets.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
Lead Generation:
- Generate high-quality leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and digital marketing.
- Qualify leads to ensure alignment with the company’s target market and business objectives.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients, ensuring consistent follow-up and engagement.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to review their satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring clients receive timely and accurate information regarding products and services.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client orders are processed efficiently and delivered on time.
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues, striving to exceed client expectations and maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Sales and Performance Reporting:
- Track and report on sales performance, including lead conversion rates, sales metrics, and customer feedback.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Required Qualifications/Skills
- A degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred, however not essential.
- Proven experience as an account manager, business development manager, or similar role within the cleaning supplies industry or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in lead generation and converting leads into sales.
- Strong background in customer service and client relationship management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
